This is a very rare beast - a 1971 (non-S) Cab in Orange - a factory option colour much favoured by Peugeot in their 1970s marketing. It has a later registration date. Being restored perhaps?

19/07/1972 Â On the Road
This 304 was spotted going into a classic car show, but other than that (and the fact that it looks well cared for) no other information is known. With many thanks to CarSpotterUK for photograph.

Pick up a copy of Your Classic Magazine, June 1992, and you can read the fascinating story of this Isle of Wight Pug's full restoration. Sold for just £2400 through Brooklands auction (2006). With thanks to Robert Knight for pics 1 & 2.
With thanks to Janette Beech for photos 1 and 2 (taken in Stockton on tees in the 80s, she describes 'amazing, A1 condition') and to Robert Knight for photo 3. I'd love to know the significance of the number 22.

01/04/1974. Â Off Road, MOT expired Oct 2008
PLJ 194M was featured on the front cover of 'Practical Classics' in July 2007, and used for a favourable review of alternative soft-top classics. But it's MOT expired the following year. Where is it now?

I love it when cabs are used - the owner of this lovely Corn Yellow 304 tells me it was used to drive his new wife to their wedding reception :). It has also made appearances at the Goodwood Revival Festival.

DVLA suggests this 304 is gold, but it is pictured in white in 2008 before a respray to Citreon SM Green (floor pan rebuilt at the same time). Alloy wheels and red seats make this pug distinctive. Thanks to Ed Keefe & Alan Gold for info/images.

Another stunning 304 that looks well loved and in very good order, judging by these images taken in 2010 and 2016. Beautifully polished and presented in the ever distinctive Corn Yellow.
Pictured on the road in February 2015. This 304 is missing a hub cap, but fortunately these are available relatively cheaply. Lose a rear light cluster and that's a different story! With thanks to eyair for images.

NOTE RE 'ON THE ROAD' STATUS
In 2018 older cars - including the 304s - were made exempt from MOT tests. It is therefore not possible to accurately state the current on the road status via DVLA records. Where 'on the road' is shown, the car had passed an MOT test at least once between Jan 2015 and April 2018. So this is a mothballed snap shot of each car's status in 2018/2019 - it may well be different by the time you read this.
01/08/1973 Â Off Road, last MOT not known
This good looking cab turned up on ebay in November 2020. Located in Devon and with an asking price of £4995, it was described as needing very light restoration.

To the best of my knowledge there are 130 - 150 RHD Peugeot 304 Cabriolets left in the UK. If you own one and would like your car listed on these pages, please get in touch. If your car is pictured on this site and you don't want it to be, let me know and I'll remove it.
