Welcome to a simple web site about the Peugeot 304 Cabriolet

UK 304s

A purple 304? Or is it dark blue? Not an original colour, but a good one. The colour, the thin white stripe and the front fogs set it apart; very nice. Sold through H&H Auctions for a seemingly modest £1850 in June 2000.

This striking Cab sold with tax and MOT in 2011 after a respray to red, and probably close to the £4000 asking price. With just 3 owners from new, it had fetched £2000 at a Brightwells auction earlier that year.

Probably one of the best and most original 304s in the UK. This excellent example was advertised with a rare full documented history (see video). It was also used in a Stella Artois TV advert, where they had head rest issues! (View here).

I've seen this Cab in the flesh, as the owner lives close by. It's in super condition, and appears from time to time in classic car shows in Norfolk. A lovely, well kept 304S in original Corn Yellow.

This neglected and very rusty 304S was rescued from a Gosport scrapyard. Later, in 2012, it was purchased as a 'barn find' (one of two) by a potential restorer, but he moved it on soon after. I wonder what's become of it.

This is arguably the most famous 304 in the UK. Valued at around £7k in 2013, it was featured in the BBC's last ever Clarkson Top Gear in 2015. Made in 1974, with a later first registered date.

This little beauty is called 'Edith'. If you'd like to know why, find out at OurClassicCars. Engine rebuild & unleaded conversion. Two tone seats. Changed hands in July 2019, and advertised twice again in Aug / Oct 2020 for £6500.

An S model, with a non-S earlier grille and unusual two-tone respray. The red and white looks excellent, complimented by white wall tyres. Advertised as 'good condition' for £3500, date unknown. One I'd like to own :)

The current owners of YTA 231L purchased this 304S in Norfolk in 2002. Although off road for several years, they describe the car as garaged, well loved and ready to have her day again :)

NOTE RE 'ON THE ROAD' STATUS

In 2018 older cars - including the 304s - were made exempt from MOT tests. It is therefore not possible to accurately state the current on the road status via DVLA records. Where 'on the road' is shown, the car had passed an MOT test at least once between Jan 2015 and April 2018. So this is a mothballed snap shot of each car's status in 2018/2019 - it may well be different by the time you read this.

To the best of my knowledge there are 130 - 150 RHD Peugeot 304 Cabriolets left in the UK. If you own one and would like your car listed on these pages, please get in touch. If your car is pictured on this site and you don't want it to be, let me know and I'll remove it.

I owned this car for 10 years since 2007, so I know it well. Sold in 2017 to a buyer in Yorkshire as a 50th birthday gift, I wish the new owners many happy journeys. Read feature article here.
